Tragically, two of Africa’s most iconic species - elephants and rhinos - are under threat from highly organised, large-scale poaching for horns and ivory. For the past 10 years, Frank af Petersens has worked as a volunteer photographer documenting the increasingly brutal poaching wars in sub-Saharan Africa. He is a contributing photographer to Save The Elephants, Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, Elephant Crisis Fund, Wildlife Conservation Network, Tsavo Trust, Save The Rhino, International Anti Poaching Foundation, The Thin Green Line Foundation, African Parks, The Perfect World Foundation and Wildhood Foundation, and has donated thousands of photos for websites, social media campaigns, fundraising events and print publications. The proceeds from exhibtion sales help finance this volunteer work.
